Civil Defense Poetry Prize 2007
Civil Defense Poetry is a collective press in San Francisco dedicated to works of resistance, and we're looking for something new. If you have a manuscript of poetry that challenges, that speaks out, that is humble and brave, please send it in according to these guidelines: - Please include statement detailing how you would support your book through touring and how you would participate in creative marketing with the Civil Defense Poetry Collective members.
- An unbound manuscript of no more than 64 pages held together with a binder clip
- Two cover sheets with the title of your manuscript, your name, address, phone number, and email on the first cover sheet and nothing but the title on the second. YOUR NAME SHOULD APPEAR NOWHERE ELSE ON THE MANUSCRIPT, EXCEPT IN YOUR STATEMENT.
- A check for $25.00 made out to Civil Defense Poetry
All submissions must be postmarked by November 1st, 2007 and sent to: Civil Defense Poetry

Berkeley, CA 94712 The Civil Defense Poetry Collective will select at least one winner from the submissions we receive. This winner will have their manuscript published in an edition of 1000 books which will be distributed nationally. They will also receive 25 author copies.
